ABOUT
Set on a rural property on Kangaroo Island just 3km's from the main town of Kingscote, we bring to you Bramblewick Cottage. Over looking horses, sheep, chickens and ducks we have a humble property of 12 acres and each night settle down to magnificent sunsets over the horizon.
This cottage has been a renovation of love, starting off as a historic school building at the local school campus this building has been lovingly renovated and completed in 2022. Set on our own property we give you a home away from home feeling.
Ideally located close to Kingscote but away from the hustle and bustle and only 17km's to Emu Bay.
AMENITIES
In our accommodation you have a fully equipped kitchen, full size oven and stove top, dishwasher, fridge with a small freezer compartment.
In the bathroom you will find a large laundry sink with a under bench washing machine for your convenience.
Ample parking on site and a ramp to the entrance and side door.
A reverse cycle air conditioner services the open plan living area and fans are in the bedrooms.
OUR SERVICES
Breakfast
Only a short drive into Kingscote you will be met with the local cafes, or head towards Emu Bay to the Lavender Farm.
Free Wifi
As a rural property we do offer free wifi - however it is to note our area is not known for excellent reception so we recommend to turn off your internet devices when possible and pick up a good old book, sit back and relax.
Garden
Your cottage is completely enclosed for safety as we have a waterway and a dam close by. You have a beautiful large space around the cottage to play and enjoy or simply sit on your deck and enjoy the view
Housekeeping
We believe in privacy so we will not interrupt you each day. However should you require housekeeping or fresh sheets during your stay we are more than happy to arrange this. If you decide you love our Island and are staying for 5 or more days, fresh linen and towels will be provided.
Dam and Creek
On our property we have a watercourse and a Dam, these are around 50 meters away from your cottage. The salt creek is seasonal and runs in Winter but is dry in Summer. The Dam has water in all year round. We have fenced off and planted out the creek bed with native salt bush to help restore the land back to nature.
Fishing
We are fortunate enough to be able to offer you a fantastic opportunity with Emu Bay Fishing Charters. Book any charter during your stay at Bramblewick Cottage and receive a 10% discount on any shared charter or 15% off any private charter. Simply let us know what dates you plan on visiting so we can check availability for you.

Wineries Tour
Oh my goodness, where to start! Kangaroo Island has so many wonderful options and fantastic wineries for you to enjoy. If you do not want to drive it may be best to enquire to a local tour company to drive you around so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the trip.
Getting here
Getting to Kangaroo Island...
You have a couple of options here, either on the ferry or by air. Coach and transfers to the ferry can be arranged to and from the ferry, however KI does not have any public transport so having your own transport is a must. To fly you can book with either Rex or Qantas and your ferry options are either KI Connect or Sealink.

Many options in this category, Wildlife - in nature or the local wildlife park, bird shows, play on the sand dunes, visit the national parks and historic sites, pack a backpack with lunch and drinks and head off on walks or hikes and of course Fishing!
